Realtime Mobile Video Stitching Is So Crazy It Just Might Work [Video Tapestry]
Written by Yudhi in Wednesday, February 25th 2009
The proposition: You and a bunch of strangers are live streaming mobile-phone video of some event or disaster. A server stitches it all together and instantaneously publishes a rich, immediate patchwork of the action. I love this system, but not necessarily for the same reasons that its developers at Microsoft Research do. I want to see something like this on YouTube, for instance. How bonerfied would Wolf Blitzer have been if he could have taken [+]![Forget iClones, Everybody’s Copying the Iriver Spinn These Days [Copycats]](http://www.yudhitech.net/wp-content/themes/ynet/images/noimage.gif)
Forget iClones, Everybody’s Copying the Iriver Spinn These Days [Copycats]
Written by Yudhi in Sunday, February 22nd 2009
Looks like the iriver Spinn is the hippest template for shameless plagiarism these days. Not one but two devices, a camera and a PMP, have popped up with obvious "inspiration" from iriver's '70s-influenced baby. The camera, a no-name little 5MP bugger from China, is more forgivable, since its spinning mechanism does serve a different purpose: turn the lens around and you can take self-portraits. But the PMP, a much less-crappy design by Myracer called the [+]![Asus Getting Rid of 8.9-inch Netbooks in 2009 [Asus]](http://www.yudhitech.net/wp-content/themes/ynet/images/noimage.gif)
Asus Getting Rid of 8.9-inch Netbooks in 2009 [Asus]
Written by Yudhi in Friday, February 20th 2009
If you like 8.9-inch screens, you might want to get one now. Asus has said that it'll be phasing out that size in 2009, since 10-inch models are dominating the market. According to Digitimes, Benson Lin, president of Asustek Computer's Asia-Pacific division said that 10-inch models account for 95% of the company's sales. 7-inch models make up the other 5%. To be honest, I'm surprised 8.9-inches is not a popular option. Maybe I'm just [+]![Lenovo Constant Connect lets ThinkPads Instantly and Automatically Sync Emails With Blackberry Phones [Gadget]](http://www.yudhitech.net/wp-content/themes/ynet/images/noimage.gif)
Lenovo Constant Connect lets ThinkPads Instantly and Automatically Sync Emails With Blackberry Phones [Gadget]
Written by Yudhi in Monday, February 16th 2009
Thanks to a new technology called Lenovo Constant Connect, Lenovo laptops will be able to sync enterprise-based emails with Blackberry phones at all times, even while the laptop is powered off. By the power of Bluetooth, any enterprise based email will automatically be sent from your BlackBerry to your ThinkPad once configured. You won't have to initiate the transfer in anyway. Lenovo Constant Connect is set to release in Q2 2009, but it's still unclear [+]![Valentine’s Day Magnets Favor the Strongly Sensitive Type [Men Crying]](http://www.yudhitech.net/wp-content/themes/ynet/images/noimage.gif)

Looking for something to decorate your fridge with this V-Day, here's magnets of men weeping. Maybe it's just me, but if I really wanted to see grown ass men cry, I'd just start dating again. $11 at BlueQ[Nerd Approved]

Two Dudes Perform Dizzying Feat of Strength In John Deere Factory [Heavy Machinery]
Written by Yudhi in Monday, February 9th 2009
How wide is the hall to the "axle lab" at John Deere's Edmonton, Alberta factory? Wide as two crazy men, according to this shot, sent by one of the show-offs. Two words, Ryan: Workers' Comp.

Hands-On With JaJah’s iPod touch VoIP App [VoIP]
Written by Yudhi in Saturday, February 7th 2009
Jajah isn't the first VoIP app for the iPhone/iPod touch, but it's the first that let's you send/receive SMS messages over wi-fi. I got a brief look at it, and so far, so good. Previously, the JaJah app for the iPhone was used as a middleman to connect people on VoIP to your cellphone, but it still required a mobile plan, and used minutes. Now, the Jajah app works entirely over wi-fi, meaning you can [+]More From Product Review
